Today the moment is not whether a company should or should not use open source software, but rather when, how and with whom?

Moreover, in most cases, free software is already in use because its persuasive aspect. The company needs then to control this practice, to consider the legal issues related to licensing, distribution or not the software, integration or not communities of development, all issues related to governance of the internal computer such as project management, procurement, buying cycle, ... who are impacted by the use of free software, by its characteristics.

HP, based on its experience of more than 8 years in the field, would like to lend its experience in governance Open Source, his vision of this issue, provide ways to encourage other companies to use and control the software free, and pull together all the profits.

This presentation includes community FOSSBazaar and FOSSology announced recently that Hewlett Packard is a partner.
